Our current research is mainly focused on different aspects of carbohydrate chemistry such as their modifications, application in synthesis, and development of carbohydrate-based molecules of great chemotherapeutic values. The research group has gained high credit particularly for the development of novel synthetic methodologies using BtRC. Recently, total synthesis of naturally occurring molecules such as imino sugars, Sialic acids and some biologically important alkaloids were also in the focus (Published: 155 (h-index: 36; Citations: 6000; i-10 index: 92; IF: ~ 500)
