Beng Ergden

Biography :

Bengü Ergüden received her B.S. and M.Sc. in the field of Chemistry, from Middle East Technical University of Turkey. She then moved to Germany, and received her Ph.D. degree from the University of Heidelberg on the subject Molecular Biology. She returned to Turkey to join the faculty at the Bioengineering Department, Gebze Technical University, and is currently Assistant Professor at this department. Her research interests include Saccharomyces cerevisiae genetics, antifungal and antibacterial reagents and their mode of action; structure-activity-mechanism relation of various natural antimicrobial agents.
