Biography :
Mr. Janade Moodley completed his undergraduate studies at Rhodes University (Mkhanda, Eastern Cape) in 2018 where he majored in microbiology and biochemistry. He then enrolled at the University of KwaZulu Natal (Westville, KwaZulu Natal) in 2019 where he completed his Honours in biochemistry. His Master’s career began early in 2021 under the supervision of Dr Karen Pillay, where he investigated the bioremediation of heavy metal contaminants in wastewater using magnetotactic bacteria. Subsequently, he began his doctoral career in 2024 where he is currently investigating the biogenic synthesis of sustainable nanoparticle vectors and their application.
