Biography :
FRANCESCA GIROTTO is an Environmental Engineer. She is currently a Post-Doc fellow at the Università degli Studi di Milano - Department of Environmental Science and Policy. She got her Ph.D. at the University of Padova, Department of Industrial Engineering, curriculum: Chemistry and Environment. During her Ph.D., her main field of expertise was the management and valorization of food waste through anaerobic digestion processes. She is now developing deeper skills in Food Engineering focused on the sustainable production of novel functional food ingredients, on clean food processing technologies, and on process optimization.
