Dr. Dhirajsing Rughoo

Biography :
Dr. Dhirajsing Rughoo is the Chairperson of the Land Drainage Authority of the Republic of Mauritius, a key government body responsible for national land drainage management. He also serves as Head of the Electrical Engineering Department and Senior Lecturer at Université des Mascareignes (UDM). Dr. Rughoo holds a PhD in Energy Management and an MPhil in Renewable Energy and Optimisation. He is an active researcher in renewable energy, solar and wind power systems, energy forecasting, and grid integration. He has published extensively in IEEE and international peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He has served as Conference Chair and Session Chair for international energy conferences, including EFEA 2022. Dr. Rughoo is a member of IEEE (UK) and an Executive Member of the Institution of Engineers Mauritius. His work significantly contributes to sustainable energy development and policy advancement in Mauritius.
