Dr. Yasmim Fernandes Moniz is a dedicated physiotherapist and researcher at the University of Mogi das Cruzes (UMC), Brazil. She holds a degree in Physiotherapy and a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from UMC, and is currently pursuing her PhD in the same field. As part of her doctoral studies, she is engaged in a CAPES-funded international mobility program, expanding her research on an international level. Her primary research focuses on the development of serious games and music-based technologies for motor rehabilitation, especially targeting individuals with sensorimotor impairments. She has designed and tested interactive tools like the "Moniz Game" to enhance motor coordination and neuroplasticity. Dr. Moniz is also involved in creating educational software aimed at improving learning experiences in health sciences. Her work exemplifies the intersection of innovation, clinical application, and education, making her a rising figure in biomedical engineering and rehabilitation technology.
