Biography :
Prof. Dr. Andrea Allmendinger is the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at ten23 health AG, a Swiss contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on parenteral drug products. She is also an Adjunct Professor and Group Leader at the University of Freiburg, where her research centers on innovative parenteral drug formulations and device solutions that enhance stability, usability, and overall product performance. Prior to joining ten23 health in 2021, Dr. Allmendinger served as Principal Scientist in Pharmaceutical Development for parenteral products at Roche in Basel (2010–2021). She studied Pharmacy at the University of Heidelberg and University College London, and earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Basel. In 2025 she was appointed Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Freiburg and has extensive expertise in the development of high-concentration and freeze-dried parenteral formulations, lyophilization processes, and combination products. From 2021 to 2024, she served as Editor-in-Chief for the AAPS Open journal.
