Prof. Reuven Zimlichman

Biography :

Prof. R. Zimlichman, M.D. is the Director of The Brunner Cardiovascular Research Institute at Tel Aviv University. He previously served as Chief of Medicine and Head of the Hypertension Institute at Wolfson Medical Center (1991–2018) and as Vice Dean at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in hypertension at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA, and has held academic positions at leading Israeli medical institutions. Prof. Zimlichman has played a prominent role in cardiovascular research and medical leadership. He has served as President of the Israeli Society of Hypertension, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Israeli Medical Association, and a board member of key national health committees. His contributions have significantly influenced the fields of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and public health policy. A distinguished researcher, Prof. Zimlichman has authored over 200 scientific publications, six books, and numerous book chapters. His research focuses on hypertension, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, and arterial health, contributing to advancements in clinical and experimental medicine.
