Biography :
Prof. Ernst Wagner is Chair of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Department Pharmacy, LMU Munich (since 2001). He was Director Cancer Vaccines, Boehringer Ingelheim 1992-2001 (world-wide first polymer-based gene therapy in 1994), 1987-1995 Group Leader at IMP Vienna and VUB, 1985-1987 postdoc at ETH Zurich, 1985 PhD in chemistry (TU Vienna, Austria). He is Academician of European Academy of Sciences, Controlled Release Society College of Fellows, Honorary Professor at Sichuan U. He authored 527 publications, with ≥ 55 800 citations, h-index 119 (GS). Under his supervision 105 doctoral students graduated successfully, and 20 academics under his former received a professorship.
