Biography :
Dr. Vesna Conic earned her PhD degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 2015 from the Technical Faculty in Boor, University of Belgrade. She has over 20 years of experience in developing innovative and sustainable technologies in the fields of hydrometallurgy, bio-hydrometallurgy, and electrometallurgy, with a focus on the recovery of base and precious metals. Her expertise also includes solid waste treatment, leaching and solvent extraction processes, and the recycling of critical raw materials (CRMs). Dr. Vesna Conic has significant industrial experience and is actively involved in research and development projects and their application in both national and international large mining and metallurgical companies. She has participated in EU-funded projects within the FP6, Horizon 2020, and Horizon Europe programmes.
