Biography :
Dr. Anna Kostka is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Protection at the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection, AGH University of Krakow. Her academic and research activities focus on environmental engineering, environmental protection, geochemistry, biogeochemistry, environmental microbiology, biotechnology, and genetic engineering. She is actively involved in interdisciplinary research addressing environmental risk assessment, contaminant transport, soil–plant interactions, bioremediation, and sustainable environmental management. Dr. Kostka has contributed to numerous scientific publications and collaborative research projects related to environmental monitoring, pollution assessment, emerging contaminants, and ecosystem health. Her work integrates biological and geochemical approaches to better understand environmental processes and develop innovative solutions for environmental challenges. She is also engaged in teaching courses in biology, ecology, biotechnology, and environmental sciences, mentoring students in environmental engineering and sustainability studies. Through her research and educational activities, Dr. Kostka continues to advance knowledge in environmental protection and sustainable resource management while promoting interdisciplinary approaches to solving contemporary environmental problems.
