Rush University Medical Center, USA

Biography :

Born in Leningrad, USSR (now St. Petersburg, Russia), I earned my medical degree there before immigrating to the United States in 1992. My passion for cancer medicine and research began during medical school and has motivated me ever since, with a particular interest in cell-based therapies. After completing residency training in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology, I joined Rush University in 2000, where I am Professor of Medicine. My clinical practice focuses on women's cancers, while my research is concentrated on development of xenogeneic cell therapies in collaboration with translational scientists and clinical trials of novel cancer therapeutics.
