Biography :
Professor Dr. Bulent Ozpolat MD, PhD works as a faculty at Department of Nanomedicine at Houston Methodist Research Institute and Neal cancer Center in Houston, USA. Dr. Ozpolat has expertise in Immunology, Cancer biology, Genetics, Development of highly targeted cancer nano therapeutics and Gene and MicroRNA therapies. After getting his M.D. degree Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir Turkey Dr. Ozpolat received his Ph.D. degree in Immunology from The University of Texas- MD Anderson Cancer Center Houston where he completed post-doctoral training and served as a faculty for more than 15 years at Department of Experimental Therapeutics and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Ozpolat has 5 patents for development of targeted therapeutics and published more than 140 publications (H-index 52, 12000 citations ) in peer-reviewed high impact journals. Dr. Ozpolat’s research is supported by grant project from NIH/NCI where also serve as a permanent member at study section. Dr. Ozpolat is currently serving editor at 2 international journals including Cancers, and Non-Coding RNA. Dr. Ozpolat’s laboratory focuses on development of targeted therapeutics for cancer including small molecule inhibitors, non-coding RNA/microRNA Therapeutics for breast, pancreatic, lung cancers, melanoma, leukemia and brain tumors.
