Biography :
Dr. Mingyi Chen is a Professor of Pathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in hematopathology. His clinical focus includes hematolymphoid diseases involving the lungs, GI tract, and bone marrow transplants. He earned his M.D. from Peking University and a Ph.D. in pharmacology from Kyoto University. Dr. Chen trained in pathology at UC San Diego and Loma Linda, with fellowships at City of Hope and UCLA/HHMI. Board-certified in hematology, anatomic, and clinical pathology, he joined UT Southwestern in 2016. His research spans cancer biomarkers, lymphoma and leukemia, tumor immunology, and GVHD. He is also active in studies on vascular biology, thrombosis, and sickle cell disease. Dr. Chen has published over 140 scientific articles and contributed to several pathology textbooks. He is a member of key professional societies and serves on multiple editorial boards. Dr. Chen is also a frequent peer reviewer for academic journals and research grants.
