Biography :
Dr. Marcel Zamocky is principal investigator and senior scientist in research projects focused on the molecular evolution of defence against the oxidative stress. He has over 20 years of experience with investigation of various peroxidases. He published 99 publications in international peer-reviewed journals that were cited over 2,400 times. He was co-author of nine scientific monographies and one patent. He was included among 2,000 Outstanding Scientist of the 21st Century accompanied with Citation of Meritorious Achievement issued by IBC Cambridge England UK and listed also in Marquis Who is Who in Science and Engineering for his achievements in molecular biology. He is contributor to RedoxiBase where sequences of all types of peroxidases are collected and annotated. He is member of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, at Institute of Molecular Biology in Bratislava, Slovakia. Currently he is a principal investigator of a research project at Department of Chemistry, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna Austria.
