Biography :
Dr. Marianne Kim is Vice President of Research & Development at BioFire Defense, a bioMérieux company, where she leads the development of advanced molecular diagnostic technologies for infectious diseases and biodefense. With more than 20 years of experience across academia, government, and industry, she has translated scientific discoveries into FDA-cleared, Emergency Use Authorized (EUA), and Department of Defense-deployed diagnostic solutions. Previously, she conducted translational cancer research at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) and served as a faculty member at Northwestern University. Dr. Kim has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is dedicated to advancing diagnostics that strengthen global health and biosecurity.
