Biography :
Dr. Katerina Nikiforaki is a Research Team Member at the Computerized Bio-Medicine Laboratory, Institute of Research and Technology (FORTH), Heraklion, Crete, where she specializes in imaging software applications for multi-parametric MRI acquisitions, MRI protocol optimization, pre-processing, and quality assurance. She has extensive experience as an MRI Medical Physicist, she was a Medical Physicist at the MRI Department of Interbalkan Medical Center, earned her PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Crete, where she conducted research on multiparametric semi-quantitative and quantitative studies of soft tissue tumors, a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Crete, she has worked extensively in clinical settings, including the Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, and Radiation Therapy departments.
