Mr. Sebastian Obeta

Biography :

I am an AI expert and researcher in the capacity of a data scientist and analyst at the University of Cambridge with a major in natural language processing (NLP), a subset of AI. I founded Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAIS) at the University of Bradford, a platform of excellence for data science capacity building and skills acquisition in northern England. AAIS was recognised as the fastest-growing innovative platform at the Leeds Digital Festival 2022. At the Leeds Digital Festival 2022, I was recognised on the D-List, a collection of exceptional entrepreneurs, innovators, thought leaders, and business leaders from various backgrounds and walks of life who are innovative and successful in their industry area. I made the list of the top 100 African business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals in the UK in 2022, organised by the African Business Chambers (AFBC). I won a hackathon competition where I built an AI product that addresses domestic violence in the UK as part of PwC and UK BlackTech AI's good strategy. I have broad experience and a demonstrated history of working in the financial, telecommunications, and health industries. Certified NLP Engineer, Certified Data Scientist, Skilled in Data Warehousing, SQL, Power BI, Excel, and Python Strong knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data mining, with a distinction in MSc data science and machine learning. I am a London South Bank University and Bradford University graduate in data science, applied artificial intelligence, and data analytics. I also had part-time and executive education at leading institutions, including the Institute of Business Management in Berlin, Germany. My research interests are in explorable AI, responsible AI, AI ethics, federated analytics and learning, blockchain, machine learning, and NLP.
