Dr. Moses N. Kodur is an Application Scientist at Surface Optics Corporation (SOC) in Rancho Bernardo, California, specializing in reflectance-based spectroscopy, optical metrology, and hyperspectral imaging. He provides technical expertise in the design, application, and deployment of SOC’s reflectometers and hyperspectral cameras, supporting applications across industries such as aerospace, solar energy, agriculture, semiconductor manufacturing, drug packaging, defense, and coatings analysis. His work encompasses product development and sustaining, experimental design, and direct technical support, ensuring accurate optical characterization of materials and surfaces. Dr. Kodur has deep expertise in the physics of light-matter interactions, drawing from his research in perovskite photovoltaics and sodium-ion battery technology, which has resulted in 10+ research articles and numerous conference presentations. His background in spectroscopy, remote sensing, and materials science informs his work in advancing optical sensing technologies. Additionally, he serves as an instructor of General Physics at Point Loma Nazarene University, where he teaches experimental and theoretical principles of physics.
