Dr. J Kenneth Hoober

Research Interest :

1. J. Kenneth Hoober is currently Chief Scientific Officer of Susavion Biosciences, Inc. He received a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan in 1965 and had postdoctoral positions at Vanderbilt University and the Rockefeller University. He held faculty positions in Biochemistry at Rutgers University Medical School and Temple University Medical School. He retired from Arizona State University in 2004 after 12 years as Chair of the Department of Plant Biology. His research activities involved thylakoid membrane biogenesis during chloroplast development in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and the development of peptide drugs to treat cancer and eczema.
